Hotel Xcaret México opened in December 2017 on the beach near Playa del Carmen, 45 minutes from Cancún airport and 45 from Tulum. It is a big resort built around turquoise inlets and rock-edged coves, with long pools that run toward the sea and balconies strung with hammocks.

The suites are organised into Casas, each with its own feel. Casa Luna is for families with young children, with a kids' hotel simulator called Xiquit Inn and a rooftop kitchen. Casa Fuego, facing the Caribbean, is adults only for guests 18 and over, and its rooftop has a crystal-clear swimming bridge and infinity pool. Casa Eclipse is quiet and adult, near a waterfall, and Casa Agua has volcanic stone jacuzzis looking over the jungle or the river. Swim-up suites put the water at the door.

There are twenty restaurants and eleven bars. HA' is the signature room from Chef Carlos Gaytán, recently awarded a Michelin star, and Arriba Baja serves Chef Sheyla Alvarado's Baja cooking beside a waterfall. Xinema, by Chef Paco Méndez, looks over the slide pool, Chi serves Yucatecan food from Roberto Solís, Cantina Los Faroles brings Oaxaca with mezcal and live music, and La Silla grills premium cuts from Nuevo León. A churrascaria serves rodizio, and a market-style buffet sits beside the shuttle stop. HA' carries an extra cost, and some Casa restaurants are for their own guests.
The plan is called All-Fun Inclusive. It includes entry and transport to Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xoxi, Xenses and Xenotes, plus the Xailing ferries and the airport shuttle. At the hotel there are waterslides, a teens' club, an adults' nightclub called Xupes, three gyms, paddle and tennis courts, yoga, paddle boards and kayaks.
It suits families and groups who plan to spend several days in the parks and want hotel, transport and tickets under one plan.
