Hotel Xcaret Arte is an adults-only resort on the beach near Playa del Carmen, for guests 16 and over. It is organised into six Casas, each with its own character: Diseño, Artistas, Pirámide, Música, Paz and Patrón. An emerald river runs alongside the hotel and the jungle comes close.

Suites run from Garden, with views over protected green areas, to River suites on the water, then Ocean View, Ocean Front, Junior and Master, up to the two-bedroom Presidential with several terraces where jungle green meets Caribbean turquoise. The interiors are contemporary Mexican design with organic amenities and art throughout.
The food is the draw. Le Chique, from Chef Jonatán Gómez Luna, serves a 27-course tasting menu, and Xaak, with Chef Karime López, runs a 16-course one. Encanta is Paco Méndez's author restaurant, Cantina Vi.Ai.Py. brings Oaxaca from Chef Alejandro Ruiz, and Kibi-Kibi cooks Yucatecan and Lebanese food under Roberto Solís. Cayuco does surf and turf, Tah-Xido is contemporary Japanese, Mercado de San Juan covers the flavors of Mexican towns, and Arenal serves Baja-style seafood over fire. Plant-based cooking, a coffee bar, a deli and rooftop and wet bars finish the list. Meals and drinks are included everywhere except Xaak, and Kibi-Kibi is for Casa de los Artistas guests.
The plan is called All-Fun Inclusive. It covers unlimited entry to Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xenses, Xoxi and Xenotes, a shuttle to the parks every 30 minutes, and the Xcaret ferries to Isla Mujeres and Cozumel. Workshops in textiles, pottery and Latin dance fill quieter hours. Muluk Spa, inside Casa de la Paz, has 24 massage stalls set in natural caves and a hydrotherapy ritual of sauna, steam room, cold and hot plunges and a river-view pool, at extra cost.
It suits couples who want a hotel built around art and food, with the parks and the transport already settled.
